Maldives eSIM for your trip
Mobile data in the Maldives without swapping SIM cards: compare available data plans and validity transparently and buy online.
🇲🇻 Digital instead of a SIM swapWhy an eSIM for the Maldives?
A travel eSIM gives you mobile data without replacing your physical SIM card. Roaming with your home SIM in the Maldives can be expensive or limited; with an eSIM you know the price upfront, and your regular SIM can stay in the phone for calls and SMS.
Networks and speed in the Maldives
The plans currently available for the Maldives use partner networks such as Dhiraagu. Depending on the plan, 3G and 4G connections are available; actual coverage depends on your location. You can choose data plans from 3 to 20 GB with 15 and 30 days of validity.
Getting around the Maldives
The plan search is suitable for trips to Malé, Maafushi, Hulhumalé, Ari Atoll and Baa Atoll as well as many other regions. Mobile data helps with maps, transfers, translation, bookings and staying in touch with your hotel, driver or family.
How much data do you need?
Navigation, messaging and occasional browsing need less data than video, social media or hotspot use. Compare trip length and personal use – the binding details are always shown on the selected plan.
Prepare before you leave
First check that your smartphone supports eSIM and is not carrier-locked. Install the profile over a stable Wi-Fi connection and enable mobile data and data roaming for the travel eSIM as described in the plan.
